Functional Variations

This module expands the traditional repertoire by incorporating elements such as rings, bands, balls, and rollers. You will learn to integrate these accessories to enrich the experience, stimulate creativity, and work on strength, flexibility, and control throughout the body.
Prerequisites:
- Completion of Mat 1 and Mat 2, or equivalent Mat training
Requirements to complete the Mat Pilates certification
To obtain the professional Mat Pilates certificate, students must complete the following components:

Introduction to Pilates and Beginner/Intermediate Exercises

This module introduces the history, principles of the method, and basic to intermediate exercises. You will learn to adapt each movement according to the student’s level, physical needs, and special conditions. It includes guidelines for designing group classes, working with older adults, and supporting pre- and postnatal processes.
Recommended prerequisites:
- Movement Principles
- 10 completed Mat classes
- 6 months of experience in teaching movement or anatomy
