Program Structure
The course is divided into six progressive modules that will help you master the repertoire, understand the body in motion, and design dynamic, safe classes.


Mat and Reformer
Pilates Certification
Mat work is the foundation of the Pilates method, while the Reformer adds versatility and depth to the practice. This combined program gives you access to the full repertoire and its variations, preparing you to teach with confidence, discernment, and your own unique style to individuals of all levels and needs.
Reformer 1
Fundamentals and Introductory Exercises
16 Hours
This module introduces you to the Reformer as a central tool of study. You will learn to use it safely, teach basic and intermediate exercises, and apply modifications according to the student's profile. Pedagogical reasoning skills are developed from the beginning.
Requirements:

20 completed Reformer classes

1 year of experience teaching movement (recommended)
Reformer 2
Intermediate Exercises and Specialized Programming
16 Hours
This module expands the repertoire with more demanding exercises and safety protocols. You will learn to design classes for specific populations such as pregnancy, osteoporosis, and lower back pain, as well as to assess and correct dysfunctional movement patterns.

Reformer 3
Ejercicios avanzados y clases multinivel
16 Hours
This module represents the highest level of Reformer training. You will learn progressive sequences designed to challenge your students and create safe, effective multilevel classes. The course integrates advanced skills in observation, cueing, and class planning.
Prerequisites:

Completion of Reformer 1 and 2, or equivalent training.
Reformer 2
Intermediate Exercises and Specialized Programming
16 Hours
This module expands the repertoire with more challenging exercises and safety protocols. You will learn to design classes for specific populations such as pregnancy, osteoporosis, and lower back pain. The course also covers how to assess and correct dysfunctional movement patterns.

To become a fully certified Mat and Reformer Instructor by The Pilates School, students must complete the following:

Total hours to complete the Mat & Reformer Instructor Training Program: 332 hours (does not include Anatomy).
Anatomy must be completed before taking the final exam.
Upon fulfilling all requirements, a Certificate of Completion as a Mat & Reformer Instructor from The Pilates School will be issued.
Mat 1
Introduction to Pilates and Exercises for Beginners / Intermediate Levels
16 Hours
Este módulo constituye la base del método Pilates. Este curso incluye una introducción a la historia y los principios del método Pilates, así como ejercicios de nivel básico e intermedio. Cada ejercicio incluye entrenamiento sobre modificaciones, variaciones desafiantes, el propósito del ejercicio y precauciones para lesiones y poblaciones especiales. También se aborda cómo diseñar e impartir clases grupales y se ofrecen lineamientos para enseñar a adultos mayores y clases pre y postnatales.
Requisitos previos:
• 10 clases de Mat (recomendado)
• 6 meses de experiencia enseñando de movimiento y anatomía
